ROAD IT FINALLY!!! I got quarantined in the house with a bad case of mono and have been stuck for about 2 or 3 weeks just sleeping all day and watching tv.

Same thing happened to me,loctited all of my peg bolts.Going to reverse my "snorklectomy",like my baby quiet.

Try popping in a SV1000 snorkle it quiets it down a little and seems to smooth out things a bit over going without any snorkel and it is only a touch smaller than going without a snorkel...

I threw away that 650 snorkle forever when I got the SV1000 one in mine.

Installed a distribution block and relay per canyonchasers write up, only I added a fuse block to it. Also wired up some driving lights to where the front reflectors used to mount. The relay allows the power to be on only when the key is one. Took me about half a day to do it, but I'm pretty happy with it. The only thing I'm not sure about is the switch mounting spot. If anyone has any ideas that don't require me to cut big holes in my fairing let me know.

The obligatory Pics ;D

The distribution block, relay, and fuse block are held down with adhesive backed Velcro.

There is a 20A fuse connecting the distribution block to the battery and 5A fuses connecting the distribution to my cig plug and to my driving lights.

The view from the trunk and yes I can fit my hand in there to replace the fuses.

The switch mounting location. I like the spot, just not the way it's mounted and I'd like to find a waterproof switch for it.

Mostly installed the '06/'07 GSXR front wheel and, by hand, bent the right brake rotor into shape, which I had mistakenly bent before. I was happy to learn a while back that the extra threaded hole by the rear mounting point (of the front fender) is intended for a bolt to be threaded in and used as a run-out gage. Worked fantastic! I still need to mount my speedo magnets; unfortunately, the floating rivet hole things are larger on the later rotors than on the '04/'05 rotors.

I learned that the stock '04/'05 bolts are perfectly acceptable to use even with the 5mm spacers needed (got from Zoran at TWF), so all one needs to put a '06/'07 GSXR600/750 front wheel/rotors on a '04/'05 GSXR600/750 front end is the 5mm spacers for the calipers.

I also got some '06/'07 GSXR front brake rotors for ~$50 shipped on eBay last night as backups.

BTW, if you want the magnets embedded in the rotors, I can make the detents for you, but time I'll use the mill instead of the drill press.

$10 ;D

I want to use the floating pieces but I'll consider mounting them in the rotor. I don't want to have to remake my goofy sensor bracket.

i changed my oil and filter, lubed the chain, washed and waxed my ride. After owning full fairing bikes exclusively im happy to say it took me 20 minutes to change the oil and filter. Went with Valvoline motorcycle oil and purolator filter. On my old bikes id have to take half the bike apart to get to the filters and to avoid spilling oil all over the fairings. It took at least 2 hrs at best and i always needed to go back home and grab more beers. So to those that only owned sv's...keep em.
Needless to say im happy with my ride

Rode it for 100 miles to New Hope, PA..
Got a ticket for missing the parking meter by 1/2 a minute. The meter maid finished up my ticket with me there..
Left the ticket on the bike and took my parking meter money and filled up all the other parking meters, in the direction the meter maid was walking. (right in front of her) I was going back in that direction as well.
Saved 5 other riders from getting a ticket..
Rode back home after cruzing around the back roads and eating dinner..
