Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

Didn't do it today, saw it done to my SV on Sunday.

Depending on whether I decide to file a claim, my buddy turned my Cutie into a track bike... the hard way.

Serious tank ding (paint flaking off at impact point serious), rashed through my Jardine can, brake lever gone, brake pedal destroyed, handlebar half ground through, light bezel whacked, right tail section busted, etc. Close to totalling the bike I fear. sigh....

Looked at her in the garage and wondered if the snow would ever go away:(

Then ordered a mid-pipe to let her know that I hadn't forgotten about her;D

In the past week I paid for/got (in the mail): Hayabusa Galfer wave rotor (for my GSXR rear rim), shipped my sprocket carrier and caliper bracket to Zoran, bought GSXR steering stops from D'Ecossee, Got an exhaust bracket from Endurance Engineering (which I wish I opted for the cross-brace. The material feels VERY light weight, but feels like it will snap in any kind of low-side at the track...), got some Micron exhaust brackets shipped here from England for my full Micron exhaust...

Oh yeah, I also talked to "Ivan" today and ordered his jet kit. ;D Going to have him buy and modify the BMC Race filter to open it up to his specifications....

Today I swapped the amber LED's in my gauge cluster out for some red ones. It was a surprisingly painless procedure, and it looks really good compared to the old setup. I was also pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to remove the front fairing on my SVS.

posted pics of my plasti dip coating of a zx10r spring, and the new rizoma aluminum grips and graves aluminum bar-ends. Should have the shock back together tomorrow, possibly installed in bike. This weekend will be perfect to ride and tune the zx10r shock. If the plasti dip holds up, I'll be coating more springs in other colors. Probably posting one or two up for sale. LINK TO THE PICS IN MY BUILD THREAD!

I had a friend ride mine to his place for the week. I'm going on Spring Break, and my apartment complex isn't the best place for sitting bikes. I was so sad when I realized I didn't have enough time to ride it over there myself... curse you History and Physics II tests on the same day!!

Besides commuting to work, I had a major project on the SV today.

I always park my bike in the shop where I work. I noticed a dark area in the reflector over the license plate: the reflector had water in it! I drilled a 1/16th hole in it and shook the water out and put it on a heater to evaporate the rest out. I sealed the whole thing with epoxy. Wow. Major project!! ;D

I rode it.

I spent the winter getting my 03s sorted out. ZX10 shock swap , cut fork springs, 15w oil, s to n conversion , steel brake lines. I heavily modified saddle and still used stock cover, ,TRE, injector mod. I made bar risers, mirror extenders, 1" peg lowering adaptors and UHMW frame sliders.

I need to play around with the shock settings, sag seems o/k.
The high bars and contoured saddle makes a huge difference in comfort.
The seating is neutral (no preasure on hands) at 110 to 120km/hr (60 to 70mph), after that I need to lean forward and tuck my elbows in.
I'm not used to such good brakes...now the back wheel does wheelies too!... and without sliding into the tank ;D!

Last night, in preparation for it's first ride since sometime in January (?), I gave it a good once over MSF type inspection, changed the battery in the garage door opener, and because I got tired of my right side grip slooooowly sliding around, I safety-wired it, and did the left one for good measure, too.

It was a little chilly, but at least the rivers of ice that have been crossing my neighborhood streets in all the wrong places didn't reform last night.

I called Ivan's Performance to add to my order the modified K&N Filter for his 99-02 jet kit (He told me that the BMC Race filter is made of a harder plastic and would be more difficult to modify), and the woman that answered said I was "the 3rd order today" for a SV jet kit!
Glad to know that his kit is still popular, so it must work! ;D

Put new chain and sprockets on. First new set the bike has had, and she is at about 18K miles.

Also installed a new rear tire, which was way way way overdue. This is her 3rd rear tire.

I don't have a center stand or whatever you call it, so i just hung the rear of the bike from the rafters in the garage using a heavy duty ratchet strap. I was pleased that the project was pretty straight forward, not too complicated at all.

I went with a 16/45 combo. It had a 15/44 stock.

Just got the tank re-coated and put it back on the bike. Filled her up and let run for a few minutes.

Keep seeing a few motorcycles out on the road, and i almost joined them today. But since im still really new on a motorcycle and i have yet to actuly ride the sv, figured id atlest wait untill the snow melts in the alley. Shouldent be more than 2 or 3 weeks.......

CRG Levers, new front signal lights and R6 throttle tube are on the way

Left rear bulb is out. Time to dig in the manual to figure out what bulb I need to pick up tomorrow to replace it.

I'm sure the info about the fast blink is in the manual. I should get that out and read through it again.

I also need to pick up a rear wheel stand to clean/tighten the chain. I'm thinking about the front and rear set from T-Rex.
