Got my watsens in the mail today... Can't wait, only 265 more days till I can install them on my bike.

rolled over 16,000 on the odometer.

also, i almost hit a snapping turtle the size of a crock pot. that thing was huge. it would have wrecked me for sure. what was it doing in the middle of town anyway, wandering across busy streets?

Rode to work, got gas, rode to San Antonio to stay with the lady, rode back to Austin for work....entire time going between 80-100mph AND getting 43 mph. I love our bikes. :)

Then I rode home, raced some hot chick in an Eclipse to the light at the end of Mopac...practiced my leaning techniques the entire time....then some hot milf in a range rover waved at me as she turned into her neighborhood....

...if only I didn't have a code of ethics....lol

enjoyed the new stretch of tarmac on DC's southeast freeway into work this morning. fussed with saddle bags, put some decals on, cleaned it, then rode home and sat in some pretty dumb traffic. so worth it

Added a Powerlet plug on the handlebars so I can plug in the Cortech Super Mini tankbag that I rigged up with power yesterday. Now I can put my MP3 and cell in the bag along with the Autocom and have it all powered off the bike. I'm all set to enjoy tunes and comms in style, now!

Oh, and while I was putzing with the bike in the driveway, I figured I'd lube up the chain, too.

cleaned her up, lubed the chain, changed worn out grips n am on my way to watch qualifiying at the indianapolis motor speedway!

Today was the kind of day the bike and I have both been needing for a loooooooong time:

1. Soldered the tach signal wire on my Veypor - it's been intermittent, hopefully this fixes it.

2. Installed my Gripster tank pads - note: if you're doing this on a bedliner bike, you'll need contact cement (or similar) to get it to adhere properly.

3. Replaced my crappy load resistors with a sexy electronic flasher relay. Signal lights are visibly brighter now that they're seeing full voltage!

4. Replaced rear turn signals - the old LED ones died on me. WTF? I thought LEDs are forever?

5. Installed illuminated license plate mounting bolts.

6. Replaced my piece-of-garbage "5-function voltmeter" with a 1-LED unit. Cool. The voltage LED looks right at home on my custom dash.

7. Relocated the Pro-Oiler control/display unit to under the passenger seat. Once it's dialed in you don't really have to change it on the fly, and I never liked having it stuck on the top triple.

8. Fit my newly re-covered seats. Nice!

Next up: sync and probably re-jet the carbs. Hopefully then the bike will no longer suck in any regard!

Put the back wheel back on with fresh Road 2.
Cleaned and lubed the chain.

Cleaned up some wiring. I think thats it before the rally.

Finally got the Metzlers mounted, the woodcrafts on, and new bar end mirrors.
Still working on recovering the seats and setting up a 12v accessory relay for the GPS / iPod

Installed a new Sargent seat and put on a new M3 Sportech front tire. Nearing the last bit of prep work for some new paint on the upper and lower fairings.

Still more to come, if it looks ok in the end may be I'll post a pic or two.
