I finally installed my home-made clear clutch cover. (needed oil changed anyway)

I sort of wish I had sprung for the fancy retainers and bolts in the group buy, it looks sort of plain and cheap inside. :p Oh well, here it is anyway....

Well done. Came out very nice indeed.

Rode to the beach. Then I went to HB Honda to see the Fury.

Please do not sit on the bike. :p

They said there will be a demo bike to ride in a couple of weeks.

I went out to the parking lot this morning to see that my bike was stolen.......then I cried..... As a man I have cried perhaps 3 times in the past 8 years (once when my dog had to be put down, once when a close friend died, and now with my bike being stolen...)

Aw crap man. I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope you get it back.

Do you have any info posted about how you made the cover?

painted a piece aboot the size of a dime.

put some spiegler brake lines on, mounted some frame sliders, cleaned it and took it down to sarsaota fl, up to "tail of the dragon" nc thru tenn and back home thru va...

and put a couple scratches on the tank. course.

Attempted to install my 636 shock. Decided that instead of trying to grind down the head of the bolt I was going to drill the one side of the hole out so I can weld in a threaded insert so it's like the stock set-up. Put bike back together with old shock so I could ride it to work today

-ordered a set of Ti-Moly sprockets and a "smart-chain II" from Sidewinder Racing, my way of saying I'll be keeping my SV for a long, long while

-paid my insurance renewal ($1400... yay)

-took off the seats to send to Frank at Spencer's Motocare to be redone (can't wait!)

-cleaned her like never before, and put her away for the next few rainy weeks while I finally sort out my suspension, brakes, and of course the new chain & sprockets (emulators/springs and braided lines also on the way, GSXR shock already waiting to be installed along with new discs to fix the warped rotor I bought her with)

-pondered if I could somehow make my undertail better... and realized I have no idea how to use fibreglass or anything like it to "fix" the things I don't like about it. Then again, function first (comfort and handling) with this round of mods.
