I just got back from a 4 hour trip to go pick up a seat cowl to replace my bustified one.
Bonus cup: I got a ride out of it, and the cost of shipping for gas was less than half shipping! :thumbsup:

And this is why flat black rules : besides the awesomeness of the lack of colour itself, I'll have it sanded, prepped, and painted to match in one day.

I looked at my SV and wish I had rode it instead of my 500R. I lost a front fender bolt and haven't had time to get a new one. Guess what I'll be doing tomorrow morning?

Decided that as cool as the high mount is, the riding I'm going to be doing necessitated the use of saddle bags... so I modified the mid pipe to make it a low mount.

This is just the mock up, I'm getting the pipe flared today so the silencer will be moved forward almost 3 inches.

Yes I rode it around the block sans muffler... most of my neighbors thought is was the best sounding Harley they had ever heard before they saw the bike. (I threw up in my mouth a little when I was told that.) They do sound good uncorked IMO, just a bit too loud... thought it was a Harley... <gak>

My unsnorkeled 05 naked has a Harley-like growl, but it's definitely different. Sounds awesome though with a stock muffler, I can only imagine what it'd sound like with a slip-on or full exhaust.

Washed the bike, cleaned and lubed the chain. Going on a ocmoto ride sunday and then watch MotoGP at the D-Store.

Made a new license plate bracket out of the firewall of an old riding lawn mower before taking it to the scrap yard. Now that I think about it... I could have ripped some other useful odds and ends out of that... oh well.

It turned out really well. I'll have to put up some pics tomorrow before I go out "twisty hunting" ;D

Finally got to ride with wifey on the back, we had a great time....SURPRISE she actually enjoyed it. It was a great ride. Tehn rode to the end of the driveway to make room to put the kids's new swingset together...note o self, next time pay for assembly!!

Changed out my dash lights to LEDs...sweet! Replaced the RR with a CBR 1000's. Swapped out my blinkers with LED blinkers and washed/waxed her! then I rode her to the lake in Austin and then down to New Braunfels. More or less, I put about 100 miles on her. Great day.
