Painted my motor black

 

finally got it put together now i can ride after rebuilding the whole tail section

 

i got to ride it today! first time in 3 weeks! she didnt 'wanna start at first but she roared right up finally. gosh i love this bike.

 

checked valves because of a noise in the rear cyclinder, and took out the rear tentionor bad idea when the engine is still in the frame Pain In My A$$ to put back in.. I feel like tipping it over:BangHead:

 

Few things.

First service! (180$, not too bad) - Check.
Bringing it up to 8.5k RPM - Check
100ish miles over the weekend - Check

 

Cleaned the bike and cleaned & oiled the chain after a 500 mile over-nighter through Yosemite this weekend.

Not something I would be necessarily happy about. If this was on the street, you might be pushing too hard. On a track (applies to the street too kinda), then you need to get off the bike more.



Yesterday, I did the D'ecosse RR mod. :rock:

Today I installed plate lights since there weren't any on this bike. I was going to gut the stock exhaust but decided it was too much work and I didn't have the right tools for it. So I just cut the end off the little pipe coming out the center. Actually made a small difference in the sound. :fiddy:

Finished getting it ready to be shipped to it's new owner.

It looks funny, as it has clip-ons and the stock bars attached as well. Easier to ship it that way. Now I just have to figure out how to fit the bike and all the extras in the crate....

It'll be crated up tomorrow some time.

 

dual controls? that would be dope. its like "oh im riding the street ill use these. oh **** nice canyons coming up ill use the clipons now"

 

Yesterday I flushed the cooling system and put new water and Water Wetter in. Today, the sun was shining for the first time in quite a while, the creeks and rivers are back in their banks, the streets were dry, just a few puffy, white clouds in the sky, AND I WENT RIDING!!! It felt sooo good. ;D

 

Put on about 140 miles then I sold it.

 

Installed the bar end mirrors that arrived last week. Like the visibility but I didn't like the way they interfered with my hands at the end of the grips. So I turned them upside down. Better on the hands but visibility is worse. Think I need a little more tweaking.

 

Installed some EBC HH brake pads on the front end. I am still bedding them in but I have noticed more initial bite it seems.

 

Drilled my new (to me) top triple to accept the risers.
Just need to powdercoat the triples & risers and wait for cables to arrive...

 

finally finished putting on the gsxr front end..
playing with what should be correct tire pressure

 

took the saddle bags for their first ride with the homemade rails holding them out. they seemed to enjoy the ride. well at least they didn't jump off

I also have a 'busa shifter.
Planning on getting everything black. for now, it's only the shifter/brake pedal, but I'll break out the paint sometime soon.

 

I got a Brembo hp rear brake caliper mounted to my bike. It sits at the bottom of the rear rotor, so I had to have a machine shop fabricate a bracket for the caliper. I don't have a pic yet, give me a week or two and I will post some pics

Vinyl for my Buddy's shop. Got two more on the tail section, which are visible in other pics, but not gonna spam you guys with them. XD Also you can see I took off the cracked, scratched lower fairing and added flushmount signals.

The tank, where I added a Reno eNVy sticker. Battle Born, NV state motto!

 

the busa shifter looks awesome. i'd love to get some different rear sets completely but they are so spendy. the busa shifter may be right up my alley since it's a little cheaper and still gives the blind factor.

 

Got my new Cortech Adrenalines in the mail today and put on the Wee handguards. Because of the bar sliders, I need to order some new bolts.

That bike is almost brand new!

 

changed/bled my brake fluid for the first time. quite the messy learning experience.
