Can I just buy some plastic wire for my MIG welder? Would that make it a PIG welder?

Yep its hard to get the initial arc but then it welds just fine

 

Yesterday I ordered a case, steel, and some red and yellow LED light strips, so I can make my rack and top case.

 

Today I installed the new sprockets I got last week. 16T front and 43T rear. Man, it's just down right nasty on take-off now. It takes a some work to keep the front end down under hard acceleration even in 3rd gear. Now I just need to find a stump that needs pulling. I imagine my feelings will be hurt at the gas pump from now on but it's well worth the loss in mileage for the extra boost in acceleration.

Those tank grips look sweet. I especially like the black on the white bike. Where did you get those? Do they come in clear (I like the black but don't think it would look good on Copper.

The Rizoma Zero 11's arrived today. So, now I'm really drooling and anxious to start installing the shock, LED's, throttle cables, etc. Whoooooooooo, Hoooooooooooooo! Happy Girl, Happy Girl.

don't see the lights... but if you are going to run the bike that lean, you are going to have to ride it like a granny... that engine looks like it is a weeee bit too warm :nana:

cleaned the spark plug drain hole pulled the plug cleaned it out put in an old plug I still had, put on some dielectric grease and got the SV325 back up to 650. Then rode to work but found my front brake apparently has a leak or something as they are now squishy again. hmmmm.

 

Just took off the airbox to get at some of the harness, then bought some new wire to see if I can isolate my turn signal glitch. **** electrical gremlins are frustrating.

 

Looked at the track bike....frustrated with the body work:

Put Napolean "Baren" mirrors on it. Yay Engrish!

 

Cut the template for a DIY FE on 24 gauge sheet metal. Used electric sheers. Smooth like buttah. Tonight, creating the license plate/signal bracket.

Preparing for Barber.

 

Temporarily fixed my signals, final fix to come tomorrow when I solder in a whole new right side circuit. Problem was chafed wire somewhere between the switch connector and the the headlight bucket where the wire splits in three. Rather than tear up the whole harness, just bypassing it and adding my own wiring.

Everything should be put back together in working order sometime tomorrow (fingers crossed).

 

Yesterday was a fresh K&N Oil Filter, and some Rotella 5w40 Synthetic, as well as a wash and ***ken Wax.

Today, a new R6 Throttle tube, and ProGrip 768 gel grips.

Added integrated turn signals in headlight housing, flush mount smoked led turn signals in stock front turn signal stalks location. LED turn signal controller to go on tomorrow.

 

Spent the night getting her ready for this weekend at Jennings GP.

Wash, waxed, cleaned the chain, taped up all glass, and removed mirrors.

 

Went to the movies (Inglorious *******s, mixed feelings about it)
Went to the UPS store picked up my Icon Sub Dermal Gloves (Super comfortable)
Prepping the bike and my self for a preliminary journey to Key west.
