that clear clutch looks waaaaaaaay freaking awesome!

i washed my sv today.

bought a yamaha 250. got my other 250 running. now need to order parts for the new 250. i now am the proud owner of 3 bikes!

 

painted my lower GSXR triple clamp with duplicolor black wheel paint... (first I grinded, drilled and tapped the clamp to create new steering stops, then sanded it before paint) Turned out okay, but I don't care tooo much because it's going to be hidden from view by the 1/4 fairing.

Yesterday I drilled the mounting holes in my new fairings. Installed the bar ends and gripes, and decided to order Motosliders .

 

For the last week and a half, I've only been able to stare at my bike... Combination of crappy New England weather and life has kept me off of it. Planning on a couple of things though. I got Shady's aTRE in the mail yesterday and I want to add the LED's in the passenger footpegs so I have some LED's in the mail.

Yes I know I'm a wimp for not riding in the rain. I'm still a n00b so I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

 

That`s OK been riding 30 years and still don`t like riding in the rain.Aviod it when ever possible myself.

 

Put a Pilot Road 2 on the rear.

 

I changed the valve stem on my front tire.
It was cracked around the base,and leaking.
I sure would like some goldwing stems,they are bent 90.

 

Rode my SV to the HB doughnut shop.

That guy with the belly on the right rides this bike.

Then I rode up the coast to Rancho Palos Verdes.

Custom GPS (google map taped to the tank).

I stopped at this chapel to take pics, Was here when I went on BCR poker run but a wedding was going on so the area was off limits.

This street has a center divider wider than the roads and is lined with eucalyptus trees.

 

I replaced my rear shock with a ZX-10R shock.



I ended up using a couple of tie-downs instead of the rope, lol. Funny I didn't take a picture of that.





I'll get a pic of the shock on the bike...

 

nice that is one of the best upgrades I have done to mine so far, I can't wait to upgrade the front shocks too. Did you make that rear "shelf" or did you buy it I remember seeing it at palomar but didn't get a chance to ask.

She was jogging back home after surfing.




Was just there yesterday don't remember that being bent. The HB guy that rides the bicycles and I pushed it and straightened it back, good as new!

EDIT: I just realized they painted the doughnut shop! It used to be white with blue trim, lol.

 

Got a new shift rod.

 

I bought a new rear tire. Old one was getting bad and had a nasty leak in it.

 

put the R6 throttle on my bike.... now it doesnt run. Maybe tomorrow ill repost that it runss

 

I got some SV650 rim stripes off ebay and put them on today. They are pre cut in 4 sections for each wheel. Made it fairly easy. Look pretty good for an ameteur pinstriper.

 

Met with the Progressive insurance estimator after my cold-tire-on-the-way-to-work-left-side-lowside. She was having a hard time since amost everything damaged was aftermarket, but I'm gonna max out my $3000 aftermarket & gear coverage.

Thankfully all my mods add to the value of the bike, so it shouldn't be totalled. And this was way less damage than my track-day get-offs.

 

you get $3k?? They only let me get $1500. how did you get more!?

 

Waiting on mirrors to get here and just bought a GPS mount so I can finally know how fast I am actually going on one of my bikes.

I finally got my 3rd set of bolts for the Motech rack/Givi bags. First set fell out, 2nd rusted in 5 days. I'll be leaving one of the new ones in a cup of water for a few days to make sure they actually took them from another kit instead of giving me more US sourced parts. Seems the Germans know how to make a bolt that doesn't rust and we don't.

 

I rode into work third straight day!!! feels sooooooooooooo good.

Just finished putting the air filter (BMC) back in after cleaning it. Installed leather tank guard, don't know if I like it on the bike yet.

Rode my SV to HB doughnut shop, then headed to OTD in Santa Ana CA. An ocmoto peep told me a Suzuki truck was there thinking it was for demo rides. I had to get oil and filter and some plastic fasteners for the tail.

Fabian told me they just needed a place to park it for a few days, so it was a false alarm.
