Took off my winter screen,and put on my fly screen. Trying to trick the weather,it's still in the 70's and should be 95° now. Global warming my a$$.

 

removed the front wheel to get a tire changed.
tried bleeding the rear brake but just couldnt get any pressure.
Hopefully I'll figure it out tonight.

 

Finally put in a flasher relay that didn't burn out...yet.

 

Spent all morning looking for crush washers so I can swap my stainless lines, only to come up empty handed

 

Found some more misc. Ti and aluminum bolts to fit... piece by piece.;D

 

Replaced my bent rear-set bracket with the Delkevic unit from ebay...perfect fit.

messed with the front pre-load yet again. i think i may have dialed it in for what i like. i need to take it for a nice ride in the twisties though.

 

Converted from clip-ons to regular handlebars.....loving the comfort factor

 

mounted and wired my integrated turn signal mirrors from ebay. took off orig turn signals cuz i was running out of time and light to extend the wires. I'll redo it next week. now i just gotta figure out how to slow down the flash rate.

took my rear pegs off since Iv'e had it for a year and haven't had a passenger. It looks much cleaner.

Rode around for about 100 miles with a trip to a small bike night work into it.

 

Narrowed the chicken strips front and rear by a bit more. Held the clipons lighter than I realized I had been.

 

I washed and cleaned / lubed the chain.



Headed to Texas Loosey's Thursday bike nite, a few ocmotoguys showed up.





They are giving a trophy to the best sportbike tonite as well as best bike.



They also do a raffle and I won a t-shirt and a #1 dad cup with a $20 gift certificate, and guess who won best sportbike?

The ocmoto girls are good, Elle was in the hospital, had a fractured clavicle, Nelly just got bruised - and she also rode Elle's bike home after the accident. Nelly has posted on ocmoto already, haven't heard from Elle yet.

And they have a suspect.

 

Installed the Intimators, haven't really ridden more than 100 feet yet, so I'll find out how I like them. Also removed the front signals while the fork were off so I can make brackets to have the signals be lower since they interfere with the SM Type II bars. Lastly installed the TechSpec pads. I'll get a few pics up later today.

Off to the store to work on brackets, then my remaining projects are the seat cowl and getting the shock in at some point.

sold my 04 stock yellow one yesterday, bought an 06 red one today.. I'm stoked, the new one's got a leo pipe, gsxr front end, new pirelli tires.. little more beat up but I'm stoked!

Got caught in a rain storm while carrying 2 and 1/2 gallons of kerosene and a 32oz jar of mixed nuts in my med size backpack. Got home it stoped raining so i wased the bike!

Though I could find a smaller bottle of kerosene to clean my chain but that was all the store had lol. Guess im g2g for 5 years of chain cleaning now.

 

put all the street stuff/luggage on, for a sunday ride (i hope)
