Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.
OUCH !!! Three times in one day :'(Today (well, last night) was my 2nd time riding my 05 SV650S. First time was the the test drive that I did on a parking lot. My first experience after MSF.
I heard alot of things about the SV650S. Some people said it's better to start with a 250 or 500cc bike because the bike is too twitchy. Others said it's a geat beginner bike. On my testdrive before I bought it I didn't think the bike was twitchy at all so I decided to go for it.
And what an "adventure" I had last night, laid it down 3 times. First 2 times right outside the gate of my complex lmao.. Then another time making a U-Turn, all of a sudden too much throttle and laid it down. My shift lever broke off, the left rear signal partially broke off and some scrapes on the front fender. Luckily I had frame sliders to prevent more damage.
I guess it's all part of the learning process, just didn't expect it to happen so soon lol.
Keep at it and take your time, just remember, easy on the throttle when taking off and taking turns. Better to be safe at first than end up hurt. Keep at it, you will get better and you can get some of those parts here when you need them.I guess it's all part of the learning process, just didn't expect it to happen so soon lol.
Here are some scenery pictures taken by a passenger on the Julian / Borrego ride:Sorry there are no scenery shots, we just rode, stopped for gas, rode, stopped for lunch, rode, stopped for gas, one bike went down, one bike got a radiator leak (had to be trucked home).
Whoo hoo!i think i fixed it.
Um...Worked on shaping the plug for my rear
:cussing:Um...
