I finally got some extra cash so I bought an 03 GSX-R 750 front end, an F3 rear wheel, and an M4 high-mount full system! The only thing that sucks is having to wait 86 more days till I get home to install my new goodies...

Nate sent me a new bolt to replace the one that bent and swingarm slider, so I threw those on today.. thought about making my sf a normal s, until I can get the frame sliders installed.

Got a new rear tire put on and cleaned the goo off of everything before I put it back on.

Started piecing my 99 track SV together. Installed a full subframe I found on eBay. It was actually straight. The former owner had a superbike tail that was in really rough shape and had shortened the old subframe up.

Still need to figure out where I'm going to mount the Ohllins shock reservoir. Other parts I'm still waiting to come in:

Complete Hotbodies track plastic set
GPTech fairing stay
Sunpro tach (thanks to CanyonChasers for the idea)

I can't wait to get it out on the track.

Crazy weather ain't it? I'm not complaining...rode to the blue ridge parkway only to find it closed, so took 250 to 42 and through the goshen pass (39). Then 250 (the super twisties section) and rode all the way back to charlottesville. 8 fantastic hours, good test of the new gel seat. I must say my a** is not exactly thrilled with the purchase. Great ride though, highly recommend it to all VA riders.
Very crazy I just wish it would stay warm. We ended up spending about 2 hours in a parkin lot then road a little of the Parkway, down Roanoke Mountain, through town and back home. Short ride but its his first ever. I have to say the ergonomics on the EX-500 suck, I think, but it seems like it would be comfortable long distances.

got in the mailed my new teknic jacket from newenough!
teknic stuff is pretty good, and newenough frequently has it on closeout. I've got a teknic mesh jacket that I got for $50 a couple of years ago, and recently got this jacket for only $99 to wear when the weather isn't hot enough for mesh. A good jacket - LOTSA pockets, quite warm, great armor...I'm not 100% happy about the way it fits, but I'm ok with it considering the phenomenal deal I got on it.

Sorry there are no scenery shots, we just rode, stopped for gas, rode, stopped for lunch, rode, stopped for gas, one bike went down, one bike got a radiator leak (had to be trucked home).

And at the last gas stop, one of the girls likes being tied up, that's hot! ;)

Today (well, last night) was my 2nd time riding my 05 SV650S. First time was the the test drive that I did on a parking lot. My first experience after MSF.

I heard alot of things about the SV650S. Some people said it's better to start with a 250 or 500cc bike because the bike is too twitchy. Others said it's a geat beginner bike. On my testdrive before I bought it I didn't think the bike was twitchy at all so I decided to go for it.

And what an "adventure" I had last night, laid it down 3 times. First 2 times right outside the gate of my complex lmao.. Then another time making a U-Turn, all of a sudden too much throttle and laid it down. My shift lever broke off, the left rear signal partially broke off and some scrapes on the front fender. Luckily I had frame sliders to prevent more damage.

I guess it's all part of the learning process, just didn't expect it to happen so soon lol.
