Rode for a while. Filled it with coolant, was really low and ordered some radiator parts (reason why coolant was low)

TEST RIDE!!! Today I finally got to test ride my bike. I have put on new Z6 Interact tires, changed fork oil to 20W, installed 17.5 pilots and adjusted the fuel/air screws to match. Also emptied tank looking for water and cleaned out the carbs. I even got to use my first new helmet in 15 or so years! I was delighted that the bike ran and nothing fell off. I will now seek chicken strip reduction opportunities whenever possible.

My test ride was to work and back, about 20 or so miles on a nice, sunny, 30degree day. Somewhat cold. I absolutely love my new Shoei RF-1000 helmet!
It is amazing what 15 years of development can do for helmets.

Thanks. It sounds as though our one day streak of riding weather here is going to suffer a similar fate this weekend as well. More snow on the way. Must find something else to modify on my bike I guess.

Today's list consists of some brake work, remounting some parts, mounting new parts and some wiring ;)

Ordered SWATT 3.5 clip ons, Galfer SS brake lines and Galfer Sintered HH brake pads

Me and several friends are having a learn to ride party later with our friend who got his learners yesterday and a bike last week. Should be fun. Its 81 here, 3 days ago we got 5 inches of snow.

Rode to the beach, its like 60 degrees in So CA:

Surf's up!

Got home and got gas for the Sunday ride to Julian / Borrego. ;)

Just got back from a 101 mile ride. It was 71 and slightly overcast. Perfect riding weather! I got to get a lot of riding in before Fontana though, I'm rusty as hell.

Cleaned & lubed the chain (good grief what a mess), adjusted the slack, then put over a hundred miles on her for good measure! 78* and suniny... what a gorgeous day!!! More riding tomorrow, as the high should be 80*... :):):):)

Crazy weather ain't it? I'm not complaining...rode to the blue ridge parkway only to find it closed, so took 250 to 42 and through the goshen pass (39). Then 250 (the super twisties section) and rode all the way back to charlottesville. 8 fantastic hours, good test of the new gel seat. I must say my a** is not exactly thrilled with the purchase. Great ride though, highly recommend it to all VA riders.

Put my Tech Spec Gripster pads on and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated my chain. Oh yeah and adjusted my clutch.

Was gonna wait till sunday but I had to install the GSXR 1000 shock on the SV. Here is the side by side of the old and new. ;D

I even broke my hacksaw blade in half, took about two hours by myself but it turned out great. Still waiting for fairings to get painted and then it will be complete. Its been a long and cold winter in Wisconsin.
