Just thought this would be a cool new topic. If there is already one in existence please let me know so I can delete this one, or a mod can do it. As for me I finished my under tail project and rode the crap out of it.

I made a little bracket to remount my rear reflectors after putting on the FE. I know eddiemon had asked about pictures regarding this before, so a little more photowhoring:

Here are the fronts:

And here's an overall look:

Since they are rather small, I'm not sure how effective they are. At the very least they will be better than nothing, and not as obnoxious as the dinner plates that came on it.

I'm thinking about putting a little black reflective tape on the ends of the radiator under the dress-up plates. I'm just wondering if it might get a little too hot there for them.

It depends on the tape.. I had some on my rad in the same spot on my old SV and it was fine... I have it in a number of spot on my new SV and you can't even notice it really... unless light hits it... check it out... all the white spots are black reflective tape...

put on the new m4 exhaust that wifey bought me. gotta love her for it. it was $359 which included 2-day fedex. not a bad deal. next is a darker windscreen, and lower fairings, and then i'll leave it alone until i decide what color to paint it. not a fan of the yellow. for now i'm just loving the sound...:)loved it more with no exhaust, yes i had to hear how it sounded chopped...it was insane!

besides the exhaust i've added the seat cowl, flush blinkers up front, k&n air filter, rim stripes, tank pad, fender eliminator, and removed the ugly stickers.

Removed the right side bar end mirror due to it interfering with the throttle operation. Throttle would hang open instead of returning back when released.

Once the bar end mirror was removed, I realized the Buell Traction grips had a problem. The right side grip was sliding around on the throttle tube. They got cut off, and I went with some ProGrip 714's instead.

Rode the bike to meet my buddy at his parents house to install his fender eliminator and ASV levers on his 08 GSXR600. Then we went out and rode. Probably about 70 miles or so out on back country roads in the area, including some nice twisties.

Overall, a good day of riding and motorcycle related stuff. Even got a free dinner for helping my buddy with his bike. Me, him, and his fiancee went to a local Mexican place for grub. Would have rode, but she sold her bike last year, and she won't ride on the back of a bike. So, we took her 2010 Ford Fusion Sport. Car is AWESOME!!!

I made my own fender eliminator kit....I cut that "Aerodynamic Deficiency" off that we all call a tag frame. Then I bought 2 "Bullet" looking turn signals and attached them to each side, and connected them up, and PRESTO! A fender eliminator that doesn't $100 like all the other one's out there...haha...:nana:

It would be nice, in my oppressive opinion, if this thread could stick to "what did you do to your SV today" instead of "what did you do that is somehow and somehow related to your SV... even if you were just thinking about it when you did something."

Surely SVRider isn't the biggest bunch of spazzes on the net... right?

ShaggyZ, you're like an oppressive mod wannabe. :D

It finally occurred to me that the best thing to do about the annoying front end rattle on braking which felt just like a loose head bearing, was to tighten the head bearing. Amazingly enough, the annoying front end rattle on braking which felt just like a loose head bearing really was caused by a loose head bearing. It's only taken me about 3 weeks to motivate myself to do something about that...

Also refitted my plastics, after a few months naked. Nice to have a windscreen again but I do miss the feeling of having so little in front of me. OTOH, 1st gen SV mirrors are TEH AWESUM, I'd almost forgotten how brilliant they are after months with bar-end mirrors. Sure, the CRG lanesplitters are brilliant bar end mirrors, but they're still mince compared to proper mirrors, fact. Other fripperies like speedometers and fuel lights are also quite handy ;D

Also, the fairings have got very dusty in the garage, which means that my bike now looks both incredibly shabby and dirty, and completely bad assed. I wish I could just clearcoat over the dust, I like it.

Went for my typical ride to get a coffee. Something I do as often as possible when I only have an hour or two.Usually a 50 mile ride tonight I turned it into an eighty mile ride. The town I go to is Chagrin Falls and this weekend they are having the Blossom Time Festival. So the town is all done up for the event.

The Famous Popcorn Shop.
