Installed new brake pedal, (PO broke it off when he low sided it) Installed some slick flush mount turn signals... looks much better than the blue things that were on it... OH yeah and buzzed it around the block a few times... just cuz.

Installed a new full Yoshimura trioval carbon exhaust yesterday. Still got to put on new sprockets and chain, and get rid of the shovel on the back... just waiting for those things to come in.

Spring's around the corner, but we're looking at gettin some more snow up here in Ontario over the next few days!

I added some Suzuki '05 Radiator guards I got a deal on from Ebay. I think they look pretty sweet. I need to post about the unique setup and parts that came with the guards for an '05? It was weird... '05 required extenders to mount them and included special instructions. But the naked SVS is getting closer to completion. DougZ just needs to make those Belly pans :)

Today I removed the triple clamp on my SV650N to make way for some stock clip on bars. Now I'm just trying to find a triple clamp for the stock clip on bars. Its sitting till spring, but I'd like to finish by March. :)

not today, but over the weekend - washed it (needed it BAD...a couple of rides in the rain left her really dirty), chain maintenance, oil and filter change, new air filter, new spark plugs. also, had nice enough weather that I got to take her on a ~120 mile ride.

I actually started my day with putting a Metzler M3 on the front of the zx6.
Then I got to looking at the difference of wear on the back tire between the zx and the sv. I think I gotta ride the Kawi a lil more often to even things out some.

Then the sv got a new pair of these pegs.

They were on sale supposedly. I'll have to look them up to see if they normally are selling for the regular price of 45 bucks to see if I really got a deal or not.

wooho rode to work.
Custom made clutch push rod works great.
New 15x41 sprockets are interesting to get used to. There's more there in 6th, weird.

I rode my "new" 03 naked home today! Paid the man with a stack of bills.
great looking bike! the nakeds are definitely growing on me!

anyways...

today i cleaned my SV up, as it was very dirty from when i rode it on friday thanks to a lot of water on the roadways. i also pulled the gas tank off and popped the snorkel off the airbox. will hopefully ride it later this week and hope to see/feel/hear a difference. cleaned up a sticker i peeled off with some goo-gone as well.

and i had to sit on it ofcourse. tried some different postures and positions for what i think it would be like going on a long distance trip on the highway. we will see how that works out.

Didnt really do anything to it. Except set the new gel seat with SV logo on it.;D
I also made this little contraption (ATRE) at school before I left. Took about 10 min. Will be installing it tomorrow. Unfortunately I wont be able to ride for quit a while. I hate the weather in Wisconsin.

Looked at it again, still need to put the tires back on and the oil stand union replaced. Then, I just walked on by it. Poor thing.

Looks good for 3 maybe 4 HP

What is it?

Its called a ATRE, i got the schematic from this thread: http://forum.svrider.com/showthread.php?t=55272 You need a transistor, which is labeled n2222 on the picture (you can also use 3904 or 4001 I bought these at radio shack for $3.50 for a pack of 15 ) and a 47K and 15K resistors (Radio shack sells the resistors but sells them in packs of 100) I got my resistors from my college electronics teacher.

You must solder the 15K resistor to the collector teminal of the transistor then attach it to the removed pink wire of the plug.

Then you solder the black wire to the emitter side of the transistor

Then you solder the 47K resistor to the base terminal of the transistor, this will tap into the blue wire that is continuing thru the plug as described in the picture in the thread.

I soldered on longer wires so it would make it easier to install since there is limited room under the gas tank.

Then you have your Automatic TRE
