What did you do to your SV today? (mods, farkles, maintenance, etc)

Finally took it for a short ride. This is my 1st bike and I just got my permit so I'm taking it slowly...
I said the same thing last year, don't be surprised with how comfortable you can get after only 2 weeks, especially if you keep doing your own work. You'll find a route you like and take it repeatedly before 2 months are over.

............
Did a few laps at a track :)
Nice shot.

Holy crap! More details please.
Not sure how it happened. It was startling at first...bike shouldn't wobble like that, but held together very well, my first thought was "did I tighten the rear axle properly?" Plenty of tread on the tires as I just started experimenting this season and riding in a group a month ago.
Trailing back on the road I couldn't find anything wrong and the other 11 guys (not to mention all the cars passing) seemed unaffected.

Nothing dramatic:

Threw on a set of Motosliders...hopefully never have to use them at speed! ;)
or watch your buddy on your bike put them to work :(

Holy crap! You're lucky. That could have been a lot worse. Have you contacted Avon?
Brain fart, didn't even realize that was possible after a full year since purchase..... but their website warranty states they'll consider anything within 7 years of manufacture if I bring it back to the place of purchase and ship it back to them for inspection.

Although I jumped the gun and already put PRoad 3s all around and after 80km they already feel on par with the Ultras which is comforting. Mind you I never felt the Ultras get squirly, never lost confidence in them, so I can't comment on how much potential they had left.

When I took the front off I noticed a wavy pattern in sections of the tire about half way down the shoulder.... guess my suspension needs to be adjusted as well :naughty:

I'll follow up once I hear back from them; I'd be stoked to get a new tire out of this.

got the Bridgestone BATTLAX BT-023 in today. attempted the zip tie tire mount method. result is a big negative. so i mounted it with the ol tire spoons. wrestled that son of a buck for a while. and only came out with a few scratches to the rim.
Feels great though eh? Now you can justify the spending $ on good rubber.
->Zip tie method is only good for the softest of tires.

This weekend the bike got a fresh set of hot coils from Dynatek. They are MUCH larger and heavier than the stockers and have 3 ohms resistance vs 3.7-8 so they'll draw a bit more current which will then be transformed into a more robust electrical field with much higher voltage potential due to the increased winding ratio.

Of course, the spark plug only needs so much voltage to jump the gap, but having the larger reservoir of coil energy this will translate into a larger and longer arc which I'm hoping will help with the light throttle running by allowing me to lean it a little more. And it sure won't hurt the WFO power either.:) This just might be fun!
If you record any data before/after I'd love to see it, really curious what comes of this. Didn't know such kits existed!

Spliced into the primary side of the ignition (orange wires, to momentarily take the load off the transmission) and attached a high power solenoid to the shifter. Can anyone say automatic SV?
