Best ride to get through the traffic congestion in the Philippines.
BTW, which brand of wheels and tires is best for SV650? I am planning to have this motorbike modified since I find the design a bit odd.

Hello from Southern Ontario also.
Just got 2001 SV650S a month ago, it’s my second bike, before I had Yamaha YZF600.

Great to meet you all!

Howdy from Modesto ca. Recently revived a 2007 sv650 naked bike. Actually built her for my gal Jennifer so she could ride with me. We got the bike on a lien sale and she was pretty rough. Fortunately I was able to hear her run and thought the engine sounded pretty good. I took a chance and trailered her home. After changing all suspect mechanical parts, chain, sprockets, cables, brake lines, and pads. Also had to find a fan, mirrors, blinkers, levers and a grab rail. Suzi is now running, I need to get a vin verification and then we're good to go. It's been a blast finding all the parts we needed and putting her together. Parts are fairly common and generally not too expensive. I opted for a Chinese knock off Akrapovic slip on which I thought was very nice. Decent quality and easy to install. I love the way she sounds. So buy July 18th we should be ready to ride, registration and insurance in hand.

Hello from Scotland!

I passed my test last October and bought myself this SV650.

Added a R&G tail tidy with extension and rectangular rear reflector, moved the side reflectors to the front forks, fitted the Acerbis hand guards and the Suzuki screen which I got stripes put on to match the tank.

Rode just over 5,000 miles so far and loving it.

Hey Simon ! That’s a great looking bike for Scotland!!! I visited once and drove from Glasgow to Skye and wished I was instead riding those windy roads!!

Cheers. If you look closely it’s got a bit of surface rust and some paint chips from riding during the winter, but it’s going in for a service next month and getting tidied up. I was in the Trossachs last weekend, some great twisties and equally amazing views

Hi all....My name is Doug and I am an artist (Painter). I just got my 2006 SV last week. It was all stock but the handlebars (Z-bars mounted really low) when I rode it home. I'm 72 year old and after the 80 mile ride home, I thought the muscles in the back of my neck might be terminal. When I woke up the next morning, it wasn't bad as I thought....until I got on it again. I only lasted about 15 minutes.....lol. This is my 68th bike in my life and it is probably the most fun to ride as any of them, now that I have a decent set of bars on it.....Anyway, ThanX for having me.

Hi there guys,

the name's Quincy, from the Netherlands. I bought a gen1 a while ago with the idea of making it a track bike. The bike itself has a few minor upgrades, but I also would like to install.... emulators. Yeah, sorry about that, I will be creating a topic on this forum about it, since I still have a few questions after searching this forum for a few days.

Thanx anyways, be talking to you soon.
Hello; Also new to this forum, but have been riding for 40+ started at age 10 with a home made balance bike, graduated to hondas, kawasaki's (still have a dirt bike) assorted suzuki's and 2 sv's
I got into motorcycles 'cuz jet airplanes are too expensive, so this is the next best thing...Joined this forum to get some answers on my current machine K3 pointy...

Hello all you SVRiders,

Just bought a decent condition SV650 K2 2002, in yellow no less, for the missus but now I'm not sure when she'll get to use it... So much fun to be had, and the Scorpion sounds grand!

Hello!

I'm Thomas, relatively new rider still as I've only been on two wheels for about ten months. Bought my 2019 SV650X new as the 2020 models were coming out, so got a killer deal on it. I'm in the PNW of the USA, and rain or shine (more rain than shine) try to get out as much as possible. Figured I would sign up and see if I can stumble upon any other SV riders in this tiny patch of the world.

hi! & thanks for having me- Just got a 2001 SV650- all stock right now, but modding it soon- I already have a fox rear shock, gsxr fork and brakes, stainless lines F&R, slip on supertrapp, and piling up more- Any recommendations?
hello - long time lurker, bought my 2005 SV650S in 2013. converted it to naked and have had the OEM handle bars to install forever... planning to start documenting my progress. Thanks for all the info here
Howdy,
I've been lurking around for the last few month reading about gotchas and mods before picking up a '99 track/street , with some nice mods done to it. The intention is to street it and get a little more comfortable on it, then flog myself around a local track. Discovering that making an aftermarket tail section look nice with fiberglass and bondo is , well , difficult . Nothing too drastic needs to be done on her, headlight and some sort of tail configuration that is neat and tidy. New clutch cable and that's about it.

Cheers
