Water Pump Question

I've noticed that every once in a while, maybe once every three weeks, I can see what appears to be some overflow from the drain tube coming from my water pump on the exhaust pipe. It's not a lot, looks like a coupla drops or so. I know from my car days that water coming out of the hole in the water pump was not a good thing. But that was usually a steady flow. My question is that I'm doing about a 190 mile trip real soon. Should I be real concerned about this? Time and money are the real problem with getting it looked at before we go.
