15k miles, and I don't kno the original owner that blew it up. My friend picked it up as a wrecked salvaged with intentions of restoring it as a cafe' racer. He asked me to look at the motor for him, so I started digging. He was pretty much heart broken. I dont see any way of fixing it. Bore is shot, crank is scored, and that rod is useless.

I'll mention it to him. Do you know where the link to the online shop manual is, or the OD of the crank lob (at work without my manual)?

My manual is in my piano bench at home.

If you are thinking about trying to regrind the crank, don't. From MMC to LMC it is like 8 thou, and it seems like most crankpins start off on the small side. Welding them up and regrind is way to expensive and weakens the crank.

Good man taking it down. I think you can find a used motor around here for the cheap.
That will be up to hime. I told him I'd help him find one, but he is pretty disappointed after this.
