The question is simply put. What brand is better as far as rearsets, I already have Vortex clip-ons on order and I want to get rearsets here pretty soon. Thanks guys!

The Vortex rearsets are a genuine 'boot cutter', worth noting if you're looking for something you can trust to hang off with. Also worth noting if you have a habit of bumping shins into your pegs (cause with these non fold up boot cutters, it hurts like hell!).

i have the woodcraft and i really like them. If you have a first gen there are a hige and a higher verson but for the second gen there is only the "higher" verson.

I believe that the votex are adj.

They are lower than the stock clip ons. You have a Naked or an SVS? I had to lower my fairings on my SVS to make them work. I had Woodcraft btw.

As for rear sets I check out those OSF ones. Very nice.

I have WC clipons. I had to re-engineer the stock headlight brackets so that they would go up against the bottom of the upper triple...I've only put a couple of hours on them so not quite sure how they will feel day in and day out, but I am 5'6" and yes they are low...but that's the point right?

I don't think vortex you can buy parts seperately. I got the woodcrafts because of that and lucky I did cause i crashed the bike and only had to pay $25 for a replacement footpeg rather than buying the whole kit again.

You can order the individual Vortex parts separately but it's not listed that way on Vortex's site. If you check out a place like kneedraggers.com they have all the components listed separately.

just a quick ? and its kind of a newbie ? but o well. would there be any adverse effects if i mounted the clipons above the triple? it has the stock forks if that matters ..

I did it that way and experienced no adverse effects, you have to lower the front of the bike obviously, I compensated a bit for that with a 70 series tire. You will also lose some suspension travel, but I never bottomed out.

ignore the crashed factor :p

yea i went ahead and put em on top of the triple, so far so good. as far as the bottoming out, i doubt it, im rather light (140) so unless i try to jump the **** thing i dont think anything negative will happen.
