Even the minority party can't find more than 3% pork in the stimulus package. Not too shabby! (By my quick math)

And some of these items are debatable as to whether they are pork or not. Don't believe the Limbaugh hype people. If the GOP can only find less than 3% pork, thats pretty darn good. A pork less government is just a pipe dream of idealists anyway.

On the down side, I'm becoming less convinced that any of this will actually help the economy. I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of the plan to give each person over age 16 a gift card for $3,000 with the rule that it can't be spent on debt reduction and must be spent within 45 days.

I would love that plan

Strippers aren't an investment, they are a rapidly depreciating asset.
Hey! Do you not support single mothers workign through college?

I do support them, I just realize that I can write the depreciation off on my taxes. ;D
Money needs to be given to the poorest people at a time like this. The richer and more responsible people will either save the money or pay off bills. Poorer folks will spend it right away. As much as I hate redistribution of wealth, the economy thrives off of people spending money. Give money to people who will spend it.
From what I've been hearing we'll be completely out of debt within the next 8 years. Obama's new plan is to nominate all of his friends for cabinet seats, by the time they go through all of the dirty ones and they pay their back taxxes this term and the next term we'll be caught up.

This "stimulus" package is pretty stupid and their printing enough money to turn our dollar into seventy five cents to get the package out there.

We all know this won't work. See previous 8 years.

Worst plan ever. That just prolongs the inevitable.

Yep just like it did last time, at least if it could be spent on debt reduction the banking system would get a little jolt and some people could get creditors off their backs and make it easier on themselves. Honestly if I could'nt spend it to pay something off I probably would just give it to my sister to buy stuff for her nursing school. I have too much shyt as it is.

I'd rather have tax dodgers than needless war hawks. At least then I would have leaders that I can relate to.

That plan I like too. I believe John Stewart keeps selling that plan. Give it to people but tell them they MUST use it for debt reduction. Then the banks get it back, folks get out of debt....win win.
