Ok, so I can't ride it yet but I can rev it up in the garage.. So today I'm reving the '04 with two brothers exhaust up a little and it gets a little rough in the mid-high rpm range when a 2 foot flame comes shooting out the exhaust pipe..
I can assure you I did not feed it any hot peppers or taco bell..
My first thought was the (forget what its called on this bike, 'pairs' maybe) system that introduces fresh air into the exhaust to burn off the unburned fuel before it enters the atmosphere.. Would this system not need to be disabled before installing the aftermarket slip-on.?
This exhaust came with the bike so I don't know whats been done to the bike prior to installation.. How can I tell if this system is still hooked up.? And if it is not this system thats causing this exhalation of fire, then what else could it be.?
Thanks in advance.. -Joe
