I have made this post on a couple other forums but i am trying to collect as many ideas as possible. Here is the story: Last month i had my 99 sv 650 rebuilt with Busa pistons and new intake cams. The guy that rebuilt it told me that he advanced the timing 2 degrees. When i had it dyno tuned it was impossible to get it to run right even with several jetting changes. It started missing at about 8600 rpms and never did rev over 9000. I thought that maybe the timing needed to be set back to stock but a guy on one of the other forums said 2 degrees advance wouldn't cause this big of a problem. some one else suggested i check the low voltage leads to the coil, he also suggested i check the vacuum line to the petcock. Are there any other ideas out there?
