My old bike had clip on bars and they were super comfy. Currently my 2001SV has dirtbike bars and risers which I find my position to be not as agressive as I'd like. Therefore I bought a stock set of clip on bars for my SV (Stock because I like the stock look). Now I am having trouble finding the triple clamp that came with fork mount bars.... anyone have an extra or know where I could get one? My current bars are off and I'd be up for trade or anything...I'm desperate...

FYI, some think that you actually need the top AND BOTTOM clamps as the angle is slightly different between "S" and "N". I don't myself have an opinion.

You can make the S clip ons fit your existing top triple. There are past posts that can indirectly give you all the info you need like: cut/shortened headlight brackets or 4 exhaust type clamps to use as your headlight fork brackets, installing the S clip ons in a lower position so they can be fitted to a naked top triple. Look up S to Naked conversion, or clip ons and see what shows up.

My bike is a 2001, I read that on first gen. you only need the top. I guess I'll find out.... ebay is empty, I saw one like two months ago but that doesnt help me now lol.

I don't think that's accurate. We installed a naked lower triple on fatass' bike 2-3 years ago and used his stock SVS top triple with absolutely no issues.

All accurate. Like I said, "some" believe it to be the case. The part numbers are most assuredly different both with gen1 and gen2. Many people manage to get them swapped; all have said that the replacement was a "tighter" fit then the original. Again, I have no opinion on this and don't know if it would make any difference one way or another.

I switched my "s" top triple for an "n" stock top triple and it was easy. For the record you DO NOT NEED TO REPLACE THE BOTTOM TRIPLE.

you could just buy woodcraft, vortex or swatt clip-ons. you could keep your stock triple
