I hit a big bump the other day, and the left rubber boot around the top was stuck about half way up the fork with fluid running out. I pushed the boot back down and it just rides up the fork. The boot looks dry rotted. The seals in the bottom aren't leaking. I was going to get the seals replaced, but that's a lot of money. Lol just trying to figure out if I just need to put more oil in it and a new boot, or what. Thanks for any help.

New seals is not a lot of money. You can get some for about $30-50 (assuming you're not afraid to do it yourself)

I think anyone should be able to do forkseals themselves. It really isn't hard at all to to them.

If you do it yourself, buy a 41mm seal driver. It's worth it.

I did mine without a seal driver. Works great, no leaks. PVC works great too (I mention cuz OP is worried about cost)
