Oh, that's just a Patina. I don't really know what the effect they were going for was but it seems to have been done on purpose.

They're just unrestored fork legs that have pitted and rusted a bit. Everything from below the original lower clamp location is clean because the bike originally had fork gaiters on it.

It looks a bit out of place, but it does kind of tie in with the unfinished steel cover in the triangle area.

I see you and raise you a Tridays Eleven (I really wonder why I can´t find any mention of it on svrider.com, especially in this thread).

94 hp, FCR housings containing the fuel injection, top of the line suspension bits, incredibly skillful paint job - money was no object on this project.



I´ve seen it in person last weekend. The "scratched" tank and the old looking bits are intentional and clearcoated. It looks real even from 20 cm - you have to touch it to know.
