I have my original SV650 key. the owner only had 1 of the keys when I bought it. I'd like to make a 2nd set of keys for it. but I was wondering if I even could? the lady at the wally world, key station told me she'd need to see the physical key to tell me If they could make a copy of it. But my bike is currently in the shop running me $750 dollars. and prob wont see it till the end of this month! 
So does anyone know if a key copy station place, hardware store/walmart what ever, could make a copy of my key?

I always misplace one of my keys in my house, and have to use my backup pair, then lose my backup pair and find my original keys.. Its a never ending cycle of forgetfulness
