Hi I have an sv650, 2006, could you please tell me at what temperature the fan kicks in?

It kicks in around 220 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mine bike is usually about 175-185 and my fan won’t kick on until over 200

07 sv650 naked, everything ive read says it should kick in around 215-200. if you want it to kick in lower you can replace the fan switch with a bmw one that kicks in at 190-200 i think. search the forums to find the PN. or you can replace it with an electric one and manually kick it on if you want.

The SV gen2 radiator fan thermo-switch turns on at 208F, turns off at 198F.

Do not install a BMW switch. Cooler is not better.

Right.

Engines like to be hot, and 200F water temp is not hot for an engine.

Some areas of the engine will be much hotter, but if you are running a full synthetic oil there is no concern with higher water temps if everything is functioning properly.
