I ordered a set of the rear set risers while at work in Alaska, they were waiting for me when I got home 5 days later.
Rather then using them to raise the pegs, I used them to lower them for more legroom. They worked aces! Here is a link to the thread with pictures:

I did have to do a bit of cut and grind to make the right plate work upside down, hated to touch them as the finish was beautiful as delivered.

I love the down an inch position. Not sure if going back 1/2 inch would bother me though. can you use the same risers and keep them in same foward position?

No, the way that these mount require at least the 1/2 inch back. It is really unnoticable, though; what you notice is the 1" lower, it makes more difference than you would think.
