Thought I'd start a thread for you SV lovers out there. Can be anything about the SV or anything that is a pic of your day.. here it goes..

Ebay delivered my new to me Ricor shock. Changed the spring for my weight - painful without proper tools 😝. But I got it in there 😁😁

Sorry I meant to clean the area while I was there as I just rode it through heavy rain a few days ago.

Nice to have the other measurements, though. 475lbs is pretty light, isn’t it? I weigh closer to 250lbs, so the spring rate would have to be a bit higher!
At least for my Ricor shock this is the chart. Not really familiar with other brands.

I'll give you a shock related picture. I was at Blackhawk Farms yesterday and the suspension guy was looking over my Penske 8983 shock. He noticed the collar had no set screw nor a spot that accepts a set screw--so it has been backing itself out slowly over the course of the year and adding sag. This was the misalignment after 2 sessions. So, it's not major, but next time I pull the shock for servicing I'll have them install a new collar.

It was my first weekend using the Pirelli SC3 TD "Track Day" tire. I'd been using Bridgestone S22's up to this point. I was nowhere near using the limit of grip of the S22's, so the Pirelli is just going to offer more of what I already wasn't using all of. What was a noticeable change was the profile of the tire itself. It took me about a day to get used to the profile difference and how it affected tip in and stability. Felt very different than what I was used to.

Took a ride out to the ocean for labor day. This was my first longer trip on this bike (still only ~ 50miles each way). I wish I were a better photographer, I don't think I captured the feeling very well. This spot is cool because planes landing at the airport usually fly right over on their landing approach path, so you get to see them a lot closer than you usually do.
