Hi All-

I'm new to the forums and currently do not yet own an SV. I've decided on getting an SV 650, but I want the ABS version.

I see on the Suzuki official website, they only show 2007 and 2008 models of the 650 ABS version. Is Suzuki still making the ABS model for 2009?

Also, how has people's experience been with the ABS on '07 and '08's ? Working good (i.e. reliable units)

can still get a fairing version sv. ive rode bikes with abs before and under very aggressive riding i have found that it can get you in trouble as quick as it can keep you out of it. but for a newbie can prob. be a great thing!

My sv has ABS. This is my first bike. It saved me twice so far. Its really fun to test it in the rain.

That rings a bell - that the Gladius has replaced the SV 650 for 2009.
I was hoping to get a 2009 SV 650 abs, but I think you're right, that the Gladius replaced the SV in the lineup?

Do yourself a favor and find an 07 or 08 with ABS. It will be cheaper that way, regardless of whether you buy new or used. You might not be able to find a new 07 or 08 in your area, but the discount is likely more than the cost of shipping, i.e. $1000 off and $500 to ship it to you.
