hi I'm new to the forum. I had a 99 tlr before. I have the chance to buy a 2003 sv 1000 with blown big end bearings. I've foung an engine from a 2005 sv1000. I know they have changed some things. 0.3 higher compression, cam timming, cams, no cam sensor, +2mm throttle bodies, +1 map sensor, lighter flywheel, different wire harness and ecu.

my question is, can just swap out the cams, throtle body's and ecu from the 2003 engine to the 2005 with no problems.

any info would help. thanks

The cam sensor is in the rear cam cover, so you'll need to switch that too. All else should be a go! If the K5 motor has the 54mm TBs you can keep them too.
