Tire Wheel Fuel tank Automotive fuel system Vehicle

Performed my break-in service 2 days ago. Looks like everything went very well. Made a few more adjustments to my clip-ons and now the bike fits like a glove I feel like I can ride it for hours. Ever since I lowered my upper body forward the seat does feel more comfortable but I am still looking to replace it in the near future or add padding. I took it over a hundred today on the highway And it got up there a lot quicker than what I'm used to. I did notice a very slight wobble. It happened during a low radius turn but I was doing a little over a hundred ten miles per hour. The bike wasn't leaned over very much but I could still feel The front and the rear not communicating well with each other. I haven't dialed in the suspension or adjusted the tire pressures yet so that would be next, Or I totally jacked up the geometry by moving the bars lower and keeping the original bar end weights. But so far very good and the bike makes me smile like a bike should!

Looking good Blue. Nice work. I would guess the more aggressive riding position helps with the aerodynamics at speed. I know my N buffets the crap out of me over 90mph.

Yeah it does quite a bit tho I am working on getting rid of the bikini fairing and going for a front fairing soon. It's at the shop getting ready for color matching.

I‘be only had mine up to 100 once so far (no protective gear) and didn’t notice any wandering or shake in it at all. Will have gloves and maybe boots this season, so will probably try a flat-out run at some point to see what it can do. It does have a fair amount of power, but not hardly a patch on anything properly set up. Those bikes will almost scare you with how quickly they hit that speed…

It only happens when I'm pushing on the bar left or right above 110, to switch lanes for example. It's slight and probably not noticeable to a beginner rider. Feels like the front not the rear. I have to take time to adjust the tire pressures. Only had time for a short ride today due to the rain but before my next ride il check them out.

Adjusted the tire pressures and made a suspension adjustment. It's 95% better almost no wobble at all. Almost..... A couple of things running through my head, steering head bearing set a little too loose from the factory? I noticed there aren't any wheel weights on my wheels. Maybe the front wheel needs balancing? Other than that I can't think of anything else that would cause it. Not a big deal at all when riding it normally and following the speed limits. Anything over 110 mph The front wheel starts to shimmy back and forth ever so slightly.

Only suspension adjustment would be the rear pre-load? The bike was never dropped, or anything that might have slightly twisted the forks? It’s a pretty short wheel-base bike, but it feels so planted and stable that it’s hard to believe it‘d get squirrelly at speed. The front tire balance does sound like the most likely culprit. As for ‘from the factory’, a friend that’s an enduro rider admonished me to go over every bolt after taking delivery… but I think his experiences have mostly been with off-road bikes, and the dealer setup for street bikes these days is minimal…

Never dropped I bought the bike with 2 miles from the dealer not long ago. I checked all the chassis bolts, wheel bolts, brakes muffler bolts per the manual. Everything was up to spec on the torque. I'll probably take it to my local shop and have them just double check the balancing on the front wheel. It's nothing major where I feel like it's going to go into a death wobble or tank slapper but I am particular about how my motorcycles ride, And I want to take it up to my choice speed with confidence.

Speed wobble solved: adjusting the rear suspension for my weight, Went up two clicks. And adjusting the Tire PRESSURE. At the beginning the tires were way over inflated from the dealership. Went down to manufacturer specs that are on the frame. That helped but it was still there went down two PSI more. Issue completely went away. When I had a chance to look down I was doing about 123mph with no issues when I had to switch lanes. I don't ride like this on the daily but most of the time rather conservatively. However, with the completion of The first part of the break and procedure I felt confident taking it up a few notches to see what the bike can do. It's a completely different bike once it's set up. Suzuki has one happy customer here and I learned A little bit about a lot of things along the way. Also I accidentally did my first power wheelie today. I guess I was sitting a little farther back in the seat that I normally would and off the line I gunned it and the front end started coming up which felt like an eternity. The moment I realize what was happening I was already coming down and I was not prepared and my arms buckled forward while I was laughing in my helmet, no harm done everything held up well and most importantly nothing came loose. Anyway this is turning more into a blog than it is a forum post so I will stop now and I will give you guys a ring either to ride or when I have more questions Thank you all at SVRider

The odd wheelie is fine. Just don’t hold it for any length of time.
Thanks, I'm not intending on doing any real wheelies (45 degrees and balancing on the rear wheel) but every now and again it will come up on its own during hard acceleration maybe a fot or two off the ground. That should really hurt it would it?

Which clip-on setup did you go with/get?
I went with xkmt regular rise clip ons, with adjustable risers. I went with this brand because of price and also they come pre-drilled for the dimple on the controls. Absolutely love them and fit the angle on the wrists perfect. I like my bars more angled down like the Ducati sport classics.

Oh Gods, no. They’re not THAT fragile. But you’ll see videos of Yamaha MT-07 riders holding wheelies for the entire length of the video. Don’t do that. 😉
