Stepping up
Hello peeps,
Just moved up from a hyosung gt250r to the sv650 and all I can say is, wow. Loving every minute of it. I feel like I'm breaking the law whenever I throw my leg over this thing.
Started out 4 years ago with a gs500 but ran into financial issues and took a 3 year break from riding, missed it a lot, even though that bike was junktastic (by the end nobody would even take it for free). Then my cars engine went recently and I needed some quick transportation so picked up a 250 for less then the cost of a new engine. Then ended up selling the dead car and picking up the sv.
The power, stability, and smoothness of the sv is really impressive. That combined with the low cost of insurance and low cost of gas (although I do miss the 60-90mpg of the 250) I don't see myself wanting anything bigger.
Can't wait to start modding and hitting the canyons, Ortega highway twice a week, angels crest every other week for me, woot.
