May 2003 I am 19 On my Teal, Orange and Pink 1995 YZF 600.
I had heard of this thing they call the Suicide Burnout. I proceed in a parking lot at Bible College to dismount my bike, Prop my right leg on the front tire and rev the engine to 8K Holding the brake while doing this.
I gently release the clutch till she starts to spin and I let go of the clutch. I can feel the rear getting hot and I have no idea how to stop this thing so I keep feeding it throttle to keep it from running my over.
I can't stop it I am in full panic as about 100 other students are watching me knowing I am in big trouble because its been roasting for about 30 - 40 seconds at WOT.
I grab the clutch going to full rev and then slap the kill switch while letting go of the brake.
I am about to faint I am so nervous and tip the bike over as I get back on it, much to the amusement of the student body.
It wasn't until the end of summer that someone handed me an article about suicide burnouts being a little on the rediculously dangerous side.
I wasted my tire and I am lucky I didn't need knee surgery.
Now I ride ATGATT and so does every passenger and I haven't burned a tire in several years.
Who else has some dirty laundry.
