'99 SV650 s, All of a sudden, (haven't had the front wheel off) my speedo stopped working. Everything else on the dash is working fine. Every so often it will come to life and start working for a short time or it will give strange reading with the needle moving up and down to differnt speeds. I have had the front wheel off and check sensor and it all seems to be in very good condition and none or the lugs broken or wore. Please any idea as its a very sunny day and im sat with bottom lip stuck out and bike in bits.

Just sprayed all the inside of the speed sensor with wd-40 and put bike back together speedo working fine for about 5 miles and the died again

My money's on the rotor inside the sensor being cracked or broken. You have to take the wheel off to check though.

Please read above i have had it off and checked and is all in pretty good condition no cracks or breaks
