I was driving around and noticed my speedo was readin 15 when i know i was doing atleast 40. At low speeds, it seems to fluctuate wildy between 10 and 25, but as soon as i hit 30+, it slowly drops to zero the faster i go.

WTF??? BTW its a '99 and i recently swapped my tires.

check the speedo sensor located in the front wheel. I bet it broke. search on here, it's pretty common and an easy fix.

it's actually the ring inside the sensor that breaks. it's a lil plastic piece. pretty common issue. if you check fiche at ronayers.com you can see it. I'd link but I'm posting from my iPod.

That thing is very brittle and can break very easy when you hit a big pothole, breaks out of principle, gets damaged during wheel change and breaks later or..
