even after 7500 miles the plug gap on all 4 was way to tight. .4-.6mm should have checked sooner.

and isnt it amazing how much difference fresh oil, plugs, clean filter, new tires and a well lubed and adjusted chain and clutch can make.

You are suppose to replace your plugs every 7500 miles, why check them between changes??

meant they were gapped wrong from factory. manual calls for .7-.8 when installed, and mine were way tight even after 7500miles of electrode erosion. makes me think they just took the plugs straight from the box and installed them, cuz the NGK cr8e replacements i bought (oem were denso) were also gapped next to nothing, and i had to adjust them.

ah the joys of modern mass production

I replaced my blugs at 10,000 miles. The old ones were in perfect condition. The only reason i did change them was cause i already ordered the new ones and had them on hand. From the condition of the old ones they could have easy lasted 20,000 miles. They were also gaped properly when i took them out.
