Hey! So I am looking to get a blue 2006 SV650s with only 1000 miles on it. It has a salvage title because it was dropped. Looks like the worst of it is the muffler. Darn! Gotta get something that sounds good now! Anyways, it doesn't have the lower fairings and I absolutely have to have them. I am having the hardest time finding where they are sold though. Can someone please tell me all the sites that carry the lower fairing. I looked through the links and only found 1 and it was in France. I need something a little more local (USA)! Thanks for the help! And I guess if I don't get a response here, I will try the appropriate thread.:p

WAITForgive me for raining on your parade but I'm not being a douche, I promise.

The bike has a salvage title with only 1,000 mi, dear bob! no matter how it got it, it has it now so run away if you plan on selling it to upgrade later or do not plan on doing repairs yourself. (Aside from getting the bike re-inspected for a rebuilt title, headache dependant on your state of residence) It will possibly cause you more heart-ache during the sale process when you try to unload it with a "rebuilt" title with people running away or severely lowballing your offer and your insurance company may be more prone to total it again, no matter the damage,if you make a claim, I know from experience. And I bet you can match that deal with a clean titled bike.

But if you plan of keeping it for a long time and doing your own repairs, enjoy! Welcome to SVR.

Well, I do plan to keep it for a long time. From what I have seen, these bikes do well into 20k miles. I live in California so the only thing that needs to be done with this bike is go to a CHP station and get it inspected. Make sure the parts aren't stolen everything works properly to be safe on the road. I haven't seen it in person yet, but I will be sure that I know everything about the bike, how it got it's title, and make sure it's road ready. Thanks again for all the help guys!
