anyone have any experience replacig one?

no other damage at all as i kinda broke the fall with my body but couldnt prevent this :p

remove the rearset, remove the bolt holding the peg onto the rearest plate, remove the broken shifter, insert new one, reverse steps. done.

Has anyone ever thought about shortining our levers and then welding the little ball back on?

Yes you can buy them but for the cheap way you could just cut them, or buy those, and or buy the carbon look ones, AND what I want to do is buy the CGR type ones in gold, those are SWEET, but $99.
