I just replaced my stock exhaust with a slip on that my cousin had lying around, and we couldn't find the clamp that secures the exhaust to the passenger peg. I'm going to buy a clamp but am having trouble finding one that is padded on the inside as to not scratch the exhaust. You can buy them all over the place without padding. So is padding necessary?

what kind of exhaust? what shape? i have a clamp from an oval yoshimura. pm me
PM sent. A circular ART exhaust. I don't even think they make ART exhausts any more.

Where are you finding them? I need one too and I can't find them with or without padding.
Well not all over the place. I was considering using a clamp from a dryer hose but realized it's too thin. A padded one pops up on ebay every now and again. The M4 factory/offices are here in Dallas and I've been trying to contact them to see if they would just give me one but no luck yet.

If anyone has one I'd buy it...

You might wanna check any diesel parts supply shops in your area, they have these turbo hose clamps that work great for that.
