Ok so lets throw down our thoughts on which body kits, body parts make the 1st gen (99-02) SV650 hot!!

Personally I'm looking for an undertail and I can't make up my mind...

Naturally most people have seen the AIRTECH svatx body kit http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/suzuz/SV6501999-02.htm for a full body kit but it runs for a pretty penny...

Maybe your idea of good looks is replacing all the black plastic with carbon-fibre (or atleast carbon-fibre look) pieces and LED lights??

Show without any further ado show me what you got...

Nice! I like the belly pans, they actually look really good compared to the others I've seen around... only how much did you pay?? Did they colour-match it for you?? ???

The thing about KGcycles SVR6 is the fact the upper is for the track. It looks good until you put headlights on it. I haven't seen anyone do the headlights in a way I like. I do plan on buying the street version tho.

toobrokeforthat... take a look at this pic of the SVR6 with headlights installed - http://www.kgcycles.com/serv01.htm - Its the one all the way at the bottom of the page, under "unknown". Boths ways SVS or SVR6 you win in the looks department.

Well so far my search has uncovered some cool shitte:

An Ebay auction for a new SVATAX bodykit set!!! Pick this up for cheap!! here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4565800595

Rhencullen Designs has some pretty cool stuff on offer, and I've found that (IMO) any company that offers colour-matching, whether at additional charge or not, is much more likely to receive my business!!! Here's their link: http://www.rhencullen.net/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_SV_650__1998___2002_83.html

Wildhair Designs? Well their website looks like it was put together by some crack monkeys but there is some stuff for sale on there... http://www.whaccessories.com/SV 650 Accessories.htm

And then there's the hotbodies website, this is most often who the dealerships will try to get you to order parts from because they're reliable, well-priced (mid-range) and produce quality products!! Here's their link: http://www.hotbodiesracing.com/

I hope this gives some depth to this discussion and that ya'll have good times pimp'n your rides... I suppose we ought to have a gallery or something to show off how cool all our bikes look and stuff...

I love this shit! 8)

Speedy - You have to check out the street bodywork at 2wheeljunkie.com I con't believe no one has mentioned their kit yet. It looks awesome although it is a little expensive. I've heard nothing but bad stuff about the SVATX kit. I thought it looked really good until I saw some other stuff that's available. I think the two best out there are the 2wheeljunkie and KG Cycle kits. I did the full naked to S conversion and wish I'd just coughed up a few more bucks to go to a full fairing.

Hmmm... it seems there are plenty of people who buy the naked bike and then convert to the S version, infact I talked to someone in Dallas the other night who was wanting to do this... personally if I had the naked version I'd just give it a bikini and a sharp little chin fairing and the monster headlights or maybe some of the buell style lights... just me tho...

As far as full fairings go I'm still unconvinced... I'm starting to feel that the (semi-)naked look of the SVs and SVSs is what makes them a little different to all these McDonalds i4s everyone seems to ride... I'm do like the idea of a chin fairing with an extra set of running lights built in...

On another note if I keep ordering parts at the rate I'm going I'll have an entire motorcycles worth of parts in shipping state that UPS and FEDEX will be making special deliveries just for me... right now I'm waiting on about 7 different items... ::)

do NOT get the SVATX by airtech... it sucks.. there are problems with fit and quality and looks....I know its on my bike, I'll be willing to sell it and maybe get one of the other full fairing options that are available.....

Bit late with this, sorry. You'll have to email Free Street Design for a price if you want the belly pan. The rear end uses the two exhaust mounting holes but at the front you have to drill your own and make your own brackets - not that easy really. Finish is good, and it was colour matched for a bit extra (spot on colour). Downsides are it's fibreglass so picks up stone chips (like my trip to the kitty litter the other day) unlike the fairing panels, but it does look the dog's borrox and even has a hole to look at the oil sightglass through.
