Scorpion Oval Slip-on vs. M4

Hey all. Everybody around here seems to like the M4 slip-on exhausts, and I have seen some posts regarding the Scorpion Street Extreme, but what about the regular Scorpion oval slip-on? Anyone have an opinion on it?

I'm looking for something deep and throaty, louder than stock (so people won't pull out in front of me), but not loud enough to attract cops. I hear the M4 is excessively loud...

Additionally, I heard a Yoshimura RS-3 slip-on and found the sound when rolling off on the throttle to suck. Sounded like a flap of construction paper, as another SVRider member put it.

Soo... What slip-on should I get?

My scorpion ss oval,is 4yrs. old. Still sounds and looks like new.
Scorpions never need repacking.
Sounds great while riding,i have had my son ride past me.
It was not excessively loud. Very happy with it. :)

I got the carbon high mount...i love it...
the m4 roars above all my inline 4 friends, and it definently is louder than my friend's sv650 with a yosh pipe

the m4 is a monster to behold, its' a head turner, and would get you noticed definently on the street

get one from blair at svracingparts, he gave me a great deal on mine :)
I got my m4 from pipecity.com
Like others said the m4 is just awsome!

+1

Blair's always got deals!
i have a yoshi rs3 on my 03. it has a beautiful sound: it is loud, but not offensively loud. the throttle roll-off sometimes make small popping noises like the AMA superbikes. i love the sound and the performance is great

Is that site just down right now. I says "coming soon." I'm in the market for a new slip on and some other stuff on the right side of the bike since I just downed the bike this morning.
same here. i saw some nice yoshi's on eBay and have heard them before... sounds pretty sweet to me. I'm not looking to be a cough cough Harley.
I just put a scorpion on my bike. Sounds awesome.

Wow that is a nice price....too bad they don't have that price for my year :(
my scorpion carbon is 7 years old it sounds great. it looks great too except for where the wrong clamp was used by the previous owner i just bought the exact same pipe to replace it. i never plan on using anything else on my bike. only issue i have is that scorpion told me they dont sell the high mounts in the us and im not will to pay to get it straight from them. ill just pay to have a high mount mid pipe made.
Street extreme makes most others seem rather quiet. ;)
