Hi everyone

I had a 2016 suzuki gladius with 13900 km (about 8630 miles for non metric countries kkkkk)
The maintenance Schedule says to change the spark plugs with 12k kms or 7500miles
I think that a little mileage to do this
you guys change the spark plugs with what mileage?

Maybe at twice that mileage. 7500 miles maybe for a carbureted bike, but with FI, 15k miles (or more) should be no problem.

It's recommended to still take them out and check the gapping and for discoloration at the maintenance interval.

Also some say if the spark plugs are not removed regularly the galvanic corrosion between the steel thread of the plug and the aluminum thread of the cylinder head can damage the threads. I haven't verified that though.

Early on in my SV's life I changed the plugs at the recommended interval but never noticed a difference. Now I do, but I am using standard CR8E plugs, not iridium.

I also use CR8E, and try to remember to change them by 8K. Somewhere in the ancient past, I inadvertently put about 11K on a set. The new ones made a huge difference, but that's hardly a surprise.
