Request for Convertibars photo on GenII

I am trying to decide whether to convert my 2004 SV650S to the naked's handlebar setup or go with Convertibars. I have not seen installed Convertibars for real and haven't found installed photos on the Forum. Does anyone have photos of Convertibars on a Gen II?

I doubt that the side-view photo on the Convertibar site conveys the normal visual impression. It is a straight-on shot taken from about the same height as the clamps. I wonder what a side-view looks from a normal standing position at the side at the fairing.

Any photo(s) you can post would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your help.

I just picked it up yesterday, so I can't tell you much.

There is only one pinch bolt for each bar, don't like that.
I do not not see any markings for angle or height adjustment, so everything is equal.

Guess they will stay where they are at for now.

Nice pic. They look really angled out. Thanx for the info on the pinch bolt. I wish I could sit on a bike with some. I figured I might make a tiny scratch in them after measuring to know where I like them up and down. I don't have any yet, but I'm probably gonna bite the built to make a long trip this summer.
Check the Sport Touring section picture thread. Several pictures of my bike also with convertibars.
Thanks for the nice pic, Anger.

Ranger01, I have seen your prior posts about Convertibars and they have been a big help. I viewed your post you are referencing before starting this thread. But, I was unable to open any photos. I don't know if your attachment was deleted or what. I click on your link "My Visited US States" and I get a "URL Not Found" message. I just tried again with same result.

Let me know what other angles you would like and I can take some pictures tonight while working on the bike.

I can't find the other pictures right now.

Actually, your photo above is about right. The only thing is your left handguard is blocking the view of the Convertibar left clamp. Maybe a shot from a little further forward and angled back diagonally or with your clipons turned to the left would show the clamp. I really appreciate it.

I'm not into touring but you really have it trimmed out nicely. I can see how you have been able to cover so much ground.

Is that a soda or dark beer in the mug on the ground? :-;
Ranger do you have the convertibars all the way up and back? the reason I ask is I was wondering if you hand guards bumped into your fairing. I have the hand guards on with the fairing and I contact a little on both sides, was wondering if I put on the convertibars if I would have clearance to full lock? thanks a ton.
PS I would love to see pics from other angles as well. thanks, Dave
Man I like your blacked out screen too what screen is that? I basically just want your bike now wanna trade?

thats now even your bike Kelley, geeze. Yours has different SV650 stockers and lower fairings ;)
I know Richard but that was the only one in photobucket I have at the time.

I'll get the other pictures later tonight.

David, yes, the clamps have to be turned at least 90* out to get the handguards not to make contact. When I moved the bars for a track day in September the handguards had to come off because they were full forward and down. In the up and back, full clearance, the CB comes closer to hitting the windshield than the handguards hitting the plastics.
did you go with the longer brake and throttle lines from convertibars for this set up? thanks again for your help.
I would love to see some pics of your bike with the bars turned to full lock and closeups of the clamp. thanks again.
Just FYI, Helibars with hand guards don't interfere with fairing lock to lock.
Yes, you need the longer brake and throttle lines. You can get by with the stock clutch line with the 6" bars, but not the 8" bars.
I'd like to see a pic from the side like Ranger's with someone actually on the bike. Haven't ever seen a pic with someone on it in any post evar
Lets see it ranger, jump on that sexy beast and lets see what both of you Stallions look like !

I'm pretty sure this photo has convertibars in it.
