replacing front brake lever

For those that have installed front brake levers, can the master cylinder "plunger" the lever rests on come out when there is no lever there applying pressure back against it?

Want to know before removing stock.

no they wont fall out. lever comes off and thats it, nothing else. you'll be fine

the plunger wont fall out, i havent tried pliers, but it stays there on its own.

It has a circlip holding it in.

No, there's no circlip. Everybody knows there's a little black hole inside there that holds it in by gravitational force. It's a very tiny black hole, mind you.
