I would like to mount my license plate in front of my rear tire, like this one, http://www.1tail.com/sa/cart/detail.asp?pg={18433425-E493-4D42-926D-A71E000C6EB3}, but i cant seem to find much info on how to do so. Anyone know of a mount and light that i can mount up under there? Or even someone who has done it that has pics of how they did it.
Thanks.

That's illegal. You don't want to do it. You want one of my fender eliminators. These are not the andriods you are looking for.

You could always curve the plate to match the contour of the undertail and mount it directly to it... Or buy some L brackets from Lowe's, bend them to suit and mount them to the undertail.

That's a Competition Werkes fender eliminator kit. I have it on my SV. If you are sitting in A car behind the bike you can see the plate clear as day....illegal - don't kknow for sure, but it looks pretty good. One other thing though...you'll need a hugger to "protect" the license plate from wheel spray/rocks.

Any plate in front of the tires is gonna be more hassle then it's worth IMHO. Even more so if you don't light it. Your best bet is to check with a cop or DMV before you get one installed.

Cops down here hate those as they are great for running e-pass toll booth that take violation photos and bikers that run from the cops. You're plate number needs to be 100% visible from 50' to 100' from behind with YOU on the bike and lit with a white light too. And then hope that placement there isn't a fix it ticket in your state.

like this. used stock plate from rear fender, turned upside down and bolted to battery bow. stock plate light is bolted to a home made bracket that is attached to plate. i'll have to take closer pics if you need them

I don't have a pic of it, but I have my plate there as well (battery/storage box). I have some bolt lights that work great. They are LED and light up very well. I have Hot Bodies undertail. I couldn't see drilling a hole in my new undertail.
But if you want to be legal (depending on state and cops) try this link.

You could get the extended version to sit further back with lights.
