I've seen some rear sets that are adjustable and bolt on to the bike. They allow the use of the stock rear sets. They position them 1'' up and 1'' back. Is this something that would help with turning, or is just all personal preference for that, and are these sets reliable?

I'm in the process of doing that right now. Well kinda, I'm using GSXR rearsets, but I'm using the plates to drop them. I just finished the brake side, I'll post of a picture for you when I'm done.

i've got those flipped upside down on my 03. no problems. i ditched the rear brake fluid res, and the spring for the rear brake light switch won't reach. i tossed that as well, no inspections here in wa, so no big deal, but if you want/need it, you can get a pressure switch from woodcraft or somewheres.
