I read something about the push pins not going in properly because of misaligned holes with the rear fairings and rear fender a while ago. I can't for the life of me find that thread, and go figure, now I'm stuck with that problem. I recently did a DIY fender eliminator and the holes where the push pins go are not aligned.

Everything seems to be installed properly. What can I do to fix this problem?

The wheel well plastic doesn't line up properly with the rear fairings. It's those little plastic pins where the middle must be depressed before you can extract them.

How much of the tail plastics are fastened in? I find if I try to put the push pins in and the front bolts are still in (under the seat near the battery) the holes don't align easily. Normally I'll undo those, do the push pins, and then put them back in.
