yeah i thought harleys were 1in. are all 7/8ths grips going t be the right lenght or would some be short?
Depends, some are for dirtbikes and some are open-ended for streetbikes. The main difference is that streetbike bars allow for bar-ends while dirtbike grips do not, I have a set of scott grips with the ends cut off on my bike...just because I like the smaller diameter they have than most grips made for the street.
But all you really need to worry about is that their 7/8s and open ended if your looking for something that automatically fits, throttle tubes are basically all the same lenght so their made to be universal.
Just make sure to get some sort of glue for them and be super carefull not to get any between the throttle tube and your bar, I usually apply the glue up to a half inch from the end of the throttle tube and no closer than that. Make sure to get the grip on before the glue starts to set so it acts as a lube...or else you can end up with a grip thats only halfway on and glued solid lol.
