Unfortunately I dumped my bike at the end of August. Looking into replacing fairings on an 18 year old bike was just too expensive. So I decided to take a shot at a rattle can paint job. So far completed, complete front end. I’m in the process of doing the rear end now, then the tank is last. Got custom gold decals, blue high pearl pain, and Chrysler black with goldish flakes. Very happy so far with how its turning out! Still a work in progress though.

I’ll post better pictures when I get the rear fairings finished and installed.

I'd consider clearing it all with SprayMax 2K 2-part Gloss Clear.

It's the only paint in a can that can withstand gas. I sprayed an upper and lower R6 fairing in a metallic black base with it a couple years ago and it still looks wet. Doesn't dull or get cloudy.

It did need to be sprayed pretty "wet" to flow smooth, but didn't want to run.

Yes, rattle-can paint is just that!
It will be soft, it will scratch easily and It won't resist chemicals such as fuel and oil.
2K Clear over the top will help protect it.
